2025–2026 Academic Year “Minimalist Lifestyle Workshop” Successfully Held

2026/03/20

The Psychological Counseling Team of the Student Affairs Office at Macau University of Science and Technology held the “Minimalist Lifestyle Workshop” on the afternoon of March 18. As part of the “Campus Mental Health Promotion Series,” the workshop guided participants to organize their living environments, clarify their personal needs and values, and outline their ideal lifestyle through interactive games, group discussions, and themed presentations. The program aimed to help participants cultivate a clearer and more relaxed way of living.

The workshop began with an introduction to the concepts and causes of clutter and hoarding. During the workshop, participants shared the stories behind items they found difficult to discard—some carrying childhood memories and others symbolizing future aspirations—sparking considerable resonance among the group. Participants also actively engaged in the “Ideal Life Auction” activity, where they reflected on the life they aspire to and learned practical techniques for organizing both their physical spaces and inner states. These practices encouraged participants to create more room and energy for the life they envision.

The Psychological Counseling Team organizes a variety of mental health lectures, workshops, and activities throughout the year. Students who are interested are warmly welcome to join future events. We look forward to meeting everyone again as we continue to promote mental well-being together.
