The Psychological Counseling Team of the Student Affairs Office at Macau University of Science and Technology successfully held the “Pearl Art – Self-Care Workshop” on December 4 at 10:00 a.m. This workshop was part of the “Campus Mental Health Promotion Series,” aiming to guide participants in caring for their physical and mental well-being through mindfulness practices and the creation of pearl art.
The workshop began with mindful body stretching and an introduction to the benefits of mindfulness and the concept of self-care, helping participants learn how to treat themselves with kindness and gentleness. Afterwards, participants engaged in hands-on creation of Pearl Art, experiencing the practice of focusing on the present moment, observing and accepting emotions, and applying self-care principles. The atmosphere was relaxed and harmonious, with participants enthusiastically involved in every activity. Many expressed that joining this event during the busy exam period was a delight, noting that the creative process helped them relax and recharge. They also shared their intention to care for themselves in daily life as they would for a close friend.
The Psychological Counseling Team organizes lectures, workshops, and activities on various mental health topics throughout the year. Students who are interested are warmly invited to join us again and continue the journey toward better mental health!
