2026–2027 Academic Year “Sleep Well Workshop” Successfully Held

2026/10/12

The Psychological Counseling Team of the Student Affairs Office at Macau University of Science and Technology held the “Sleep Well Workshop” on the afternoon of October 9. This workshop is a part of the “Campus Mental Health Promotion Series.” Adequate sleep enhances concentration and promotes both physical and mental well-being. Under the theme “Sleep Well”, this workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of healthy and sufficient sleep while introducing practical strategies for improving sleep quality.

The workshop began with a self-evaluation exercise, allowing participants to reflect on their recent sleep patterns and overall sleep quality. Participants were then introduced to the science of sleep, common misconceptions about sleep, and various sleep-related difficulties that people often experience. In response to participants’ needs, the workshop also provided practical tips for improving sleep quality and went through relaxation exercises designed to promote physical and mental relaxation. Participants shared that the experiential activities helped them relax and unwind while enhancing their understanding of the relationship between emotions and sleep. They also learned how to approach sleep and emotional experiences in a healthier and more productive way and expressed their intention to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the workshop in their daily lives to better care for their overall well-being.

The Psychological Counseling Team organizes a variety of mental health talks, workshops, and activities throughout the year. Students who are interested are warmly welcome to stay tuned for upcoming events on WeMust and participate. We look forward to seeing you again and working together to promote mental health and well-being!
