To broaden students’ horizons, nurture interdisciplinary and innovative talent, and promote exchanges among students from the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, the Student Affairs Office of MUST dispatched Li Tian-xi (FIE), Ni Jing-ying (MSB), He Qing-tai (FHTM) and Zuo Ling-feng (SLA) to participate in the 2026 UESTC International Summer School in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

Attracting 21 students, this 14-day summer school featured expert lectures on AI and commercial drones, alongside a visit to Tengden, a leading drone manufacturer. Under professional guidance, participants took hands-on control of drones to perform climbs, landings, and hovering, and observed the precise assembly process up close. Moreover, the itinerary offered unforgettable cultural experiences, ranging from the architectural brilliance of the Dujiangyan water conservancy project and the mystery of the Sanxingdui Site, to encounters with adorable giant pandas.
Through interdisciplinary practices and traditional cultural experiences, this summer school broadened the horizons of both Chinese and international students, allowing them to gain sincere friendships through technological collaboration and cultural exchange. MUST would continue to transform the outcomes of these study opportunities into a driving force for technological innovation, guiding students to uphold the university motto "Dedication to practical studies, Enhancement of knowledge, Ability and Quality", and actively integrating into broader national development agenda.
