To deepen national-condition and history education for youth in Macao, and foster their affection for the motherland and Macao, the 19th Macao Youth Military Summer Camp was co-hosted by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison, and undertaken by the Education and Youth Department Bureau. Over 150 students from middle schools and universities in Macao attended this seven-day camp. As the program began, participants immediately engaged in rigorous basic drill training, cultivating discipline and resilience. The military skills training covered a wide range of activities, including simulated armored vehicle driving, simulated artillery firing, and live-fire shooting exercises, allowing participants to experience the rigor of military training while developing their reflexes and teamwork. In addition, professional instructors conducted emergency first-aid courses to enhance participants’ life-saving skills. Wu Ruofei and Zeng Yuxin devoted themselves to each task, completing the full program with discipline and determination, and gained immensely from the experience.
During the national education session, participants visited the Zhuhai Museum to trace the nation's development journey, watched the patriotic film Home Coming, and learned to sing the national anthem and military songs, fostering a deep sense of duty to the country. At the closing gala, participants showcased their training achievements and youthful spirit through performances, bringing the seven-day camp to a fulfilling close.
This military summer camp has served as an important platform for cultivating young people’s sense of national defense. MUST has previously organized students to participate in National Military Education Teaching Showcase, and this program is a continuation of that tradition. Through this military summer camp, both students enhanced their comprehensive qualities, not only did mastering solid military and life-saving skills, but also gaining a profound understanding of the mission to strengthen the military and responsibilities of youth, further strengthening their conviction in loving the country ad Macao. Moving forward, MUST will continue to send students to participate, nurturing more young people to carry forward the revolutionary spirit and bravely take on the responsibilities of the times.
