To promote academic and cultural exchange among youth from the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, and to deepen their understanding of China’s national technological achievements, the Student Affairs Office of MUST dispatched student Su Zhi-hao (FA) to join the 206 Technology exchange camp, hosted by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Attracting 16 students from 5 institutions, the camp featured frontier technology lectures, company visits, and campus tours. The immersive experience provided students with up-close exposure to cutting-edge technologies such as 6G and AI, allowing them to fully engage with the vibrant energy of technological innovation.
The camp kicked off with a lecture on 6G by Dr. Sun Songlin, a Professor with the School of Information and Communication Engineering, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He reviewed the current developments in 5G and AI, explored the diverse applications of 6G, and introduced both the technical challenges and the China’s forward-looking strategies in this field. Then, students went to Tencent’s Beijing headquarters immersing themselves in the innovative R&D atmosphere. Participants witnessed the diverse application scenarios of big data and AI in people’s livelihoods and various industries, gaining a profound understanding of the powerful momentum of technology empowering social development.
Through days of learning, visiting, and sharing, participants deepened their understanding of frontier technologies. This camp, served as a great platform, helped students to get up-close exposure to technologies, and helped them clarify their future directions for learning and development. They recognized the need to proactively embrace digital transformation, striving to become innovative talents aligned with the era’s development.
