To enhance Macao Youth’s understanding of Tianjin’s history, culture, urban development, and industrial construction, and expand exchanges between university students in Tianjin and Macao, the Student Affairs Office of MUST dispatched Chen Hao-jing (FL), Peng Si-qing, Qiu Wei-long, Ouyang Bi-yan (FA), and Wu Wei-qi (FIE) to participate the 2026 Macao University Students Exchange Program in Tianjin. This study event brought together 26 students for a rich itinerary that included specialized lectures, campus tours, patriotic education, cultural experience, and industry investigations. By combining classroom learning with practical sessions and industry exposure, students gained a comprehensive understanding of the program.
MUST participants
During the study tour in Tianjin, students engaged in specialized lectures at Nankai University and visited landmarks. Visits to historical sites such as the Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall and the Dagu Fort Site Museum further illuminated Tianjin’s pivotal role in modern Chinese history. Meanwhile, through rich intangible cultural heritage experiences, traditional performing arts appreciation, and visits to historical sites, students immersed themselves in Tianjin’s profound historical and cultural heritage, leaving behind unforgettable collective memories.
By visiting the Airbus final assembly line, Haihe Dairy, and urban landmarks in Tianjin, students gained an intuitive understanding of the operational models of high-end manufacturing and urban renewal. They observed from multiple perspectives on how Tianjin preserves its urban memory while driving industrial development. Combining classroom learning with field visits, this exchange program gave students a concrete impression of Tianjin and left them looking forward to the country’s future urban development and industrial transformation.
