MUST Students Visit the “Chinese PLA Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks Open Day”

To enhance students’ understanding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks and national defense, the Student Affairs Office organized a visit for 70 students to the Garrison’s Open Day on April 30, 2026.

Following a solemn flag-raising ceremony, the students witnessed a series of impressive military demonstrations, including combat skills, disaster relief operations, and counter-terrorism drills. The soldiers’ professionalism and discipline drew warm applause from the audience. Afterward, the students toured the dormitories, classrooms, and exhibition hall, where they had the opportunity to interact with the service members.

Wu Xiaohan from the Faculty of Innovation Engineering, said the visit to the PLA Macao Garrison filled  him with honor and respect. Watching military displays up close made  him deeply appreciate the troops’ professionalism and sense of mission. The Garrison’s dedication to safeguarding Macao’s stability and national peace earned her his profound admiration. The experience strengthened  his national defense awareness and national pride, and reinforced  his love for the motherland and Macao.  He will be inspired by the military spirit to study diligently, cherish the nation, and strive to be an aspiring and responsible youth of the new era.
