The Psychological Counseling Service of the Student Affairs Office of Macau University of Science and Technology held the "Fun Gardening Workshop – Creating a Garden for Physical and Mental Well-being" on 10th October and 13th October in rooms R412 and R406, respectively. Through gardening and artistic creation, the workshop accompanied participants in spending a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon, while also introducing the concept of the "Windows of Tolerance" and exploring how connecting with nature can help enhance one's physical and mental well-being.
Both sessions proceeded very smoothly. Students utilized various floral materials and unleashed their creativity to produce works that combined both aesthetic appeal and personal character. Through creating dried flower bouquet thank-you cards, participants expressed their gratitude towards themselves or others. These thank-you cards will be mailed out one month after the workshop. Additionally, to allow students to experience the joy of planting, the workshop also demonstrated on how to grow mung bean sprouts. Participants can try cultivating mung bean sprouts using simple methods and enjoy the harvest.
The Psychological Counseling Service regularly holds lectures, workshops, and activities on various themes. We look forward to your participation and to walking this journey together again!
