The Fourth Mainland-Hong Kong-Macao Universities Table Tennis Culture Youth Camp successfully concluded at China University of Petroleum. Over 50 students from University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and China University of Petroleum joined in this seven-day camp. The Student Affairs Office of MUST has dispatched Yu Jie (University Table Tennis Team), Sun Jingheng and Zhou Tianyi (Table Tennis Club) to participate.
Themed with “Carry forward the cultural lineage of China and promote the new spirit of the table tennis,” the camp innovatively combined sports, cultural experience and onsite visit as one. During the week, a professional coaching team conducted systematic table tennis technical and tactical training, as well as competitive matches for the students. Students not only honed their skills through fierce matches, but also deepened their friendships through seamless teamwork.
During the tour, students climbed Mount Tai to experience Taoist philosophy and visited “Three Confusion Sites” in Qufu to study Confucian culture, immersing themselves in the profound cultural heritage and stunning landscapes of the Qilu region.
Students noted that table tennis is more than a sport, it bridges youth from the country. Through daily training and study tours, they improved their techniques and gained a deeper appreciation of Chinese cultue.
