Integrity Via Accounting, Wisdom For Tomorrow -- “RuiSuan” Accounting Knowledge Competition 2026 Concludes successfully

On April 12, 2025, the 2026 "RuiSuan" Accounting Knowledge Competition came to a successful conclusion. Organized by the Accounting Society of the University of Macau Students’ Association and co-organized by the MUSTMSBSA, the event attracted numerous students to showcase their talents. With a format that integrated theory and practice, the event comprehensively assessed participants’ financial analysis skills, accounting expertise, and team collaboration capabilities, providing a high-level platform for nurturing accounting talents with international perspectives and an innovative spirit.

On March 28, following an intense preliminary written test, three students from MUST—Li Xinran, Huang Wanqing, and Chen Siyu—stood out from the crowd with their solid professional knowledge and quick thinking, securing the top three places in the individual competition. Two teams—Wallet Master Team and MUST No.1 Team—advanced to the finals based on their average scores. That evening, an award ceremony for the preliminary round was held at Room 403 of Building R, where certificates and prizes were presented to outstanding individuals and teams. All participants also received certificates of participation in recognition of their proactive spirit and courage to take on challenges.

The grand final of the “RuiSuan” Accounting Knowledge Competition was held on April 12 at E22 in University of Macau. The finalist teams from both universities analyzed and discussed the case questions, ultimately delivering their presentations entirely in English. With passion, professionalism, and seamless teamwork, the participants delivered a feast of critical thinking and innovation. The expert judging panel—comprising Professor Luo Jianxun from the University of Macau, Lecturer Jian Pu from MUST, and Mr. Li Zhengli, Managing Partner of PwC Macau—posed professional questions and provided comments. Final scores were based on multiple dimensions, including professionalism, creativity, and logical coherence. Contestants expressed that through preparation, competition, and feedback from the judges, they deepened their understanding of professional knowledge, refined their logical thinking and adaptability, and gained invaluable experience for their future careers.

The event culminated in a prestigious awards ceremony. Representatives from the University of Macau, MUST, and the judging panel presented honorary certificates and prizes to finalists. Team Nice and Team_HRO from the University of Macau tied for first place, Wallet Master Team from MUST and Geesedorsis Team from the University of Macau shared third place. The event organizer awarded certificates, trophies and corresponding cash prizes to all winning teams.

As the group photo captured the moment of glory, the 2026 “RuiSuan” Accounting Knowledge Competition drew to a successful close. Participants left with both honors and insights, well-prepared to venture deeper into the sea of knowledge.

This competition not only provided students with an opportunity to sharpen their abilities, but also injected strong momentum into the cultivation of accounting professionals through promoting learning and teaching via competition. These challengers who shown their talents today will continue to shining in the future. We eagerly anticipate all participants to keep forging ahead beyond the competition, taking pens as swords and wisdom as sails to write a brilliant new chapter in the accounting field!
