The Social Service Team organized a volunteer activity, “Paws in Macao” on April 12, 2026, with the support of the Student Affairs Office. The activity has gained positive responses from students, leading them into the shelters where they could offer help to stray animals, and deepen their knowledge of caring for society.

Students were divided into two groups, and were guided to two separate animal shelters run by Anima Macau. Under professional guidance, students cleaned and sterilized in order.

Participants reflected that this activity deepened their understanding of the true meaning of “Responsible Raising”, that animal raising shall never be a spontaneous consumption, but a long-term and promised process. During the day, students fulfilled each task with patience and an earnest attitude. By practical exercise, not only did students receive knowledge, but also contribute a warm and sincere force to protect animals.

The MUST Social Service Team, under the structure of the Student Affairs Office, was set up in March 2014. It has maintained the philosophy of “serving the community” and the spiritual guidance of “help with happiness”, and has contributed to the University and society for more than ten years.

Anima Macau is a non-profit organization set up in 2003. With the aim of offering appropriate treatment in case of animals being treated or caught in violence by others, and to promote relevant activities, the organization carries out particular promotion and activities, dedicated to providing efficient treatments.
