The performance received strong support from relevant national authorities, which displayed a professional team to Macao. The perform was tailored to highlight local elements while vividly demonstrating how different sectors practice the holistic national security concept. Through stories ranging from the chief designers of national scientific and technological projects, and border soldiers defending the country, to historical perspectives and analyses of the complex international situation, the event comprehensively showcased the rich implications of national security across political, military, territorial, and cultural domains.

Sun Xiaoke, President of Students’ Union, expressed her honor, “The performance is impressive, making spectators understand that national security encompasses a wide range of fields, including ecology, biology, territorial integrity, deep sea and so on. It seemed distant when we talked about national security previously. However, seeing examples – such as the plight of disappearing endangered species and the inspiring story of Academician Peng Shilu (the father of China’s nuclear submarines) – made me realize that it is right here beside us. As a young university student in Macao, I clearly understand that national security is closely linked to our daily lives, development, and future. Safeguarding national security is a shared responsibility for all citizens, and specifically, a duty for Macao youth under the “One Country, Two Systems” framework. I will take this learning opportunity to strengthen my awareness, consciously fulfill my obligations, and contribute my strength as a Macao youth to building a solid barrier for national security.
