395 outstanding students were awarded scholarships and grants

On November 24th, 2025, Macau University of Science and Technology held the Scholarship and Grant Awards Presentation Ceremony at Block D, Conference Hall. A total of 24 sponsorship organizations awarded scholarships and grants to 395 outstanding students at the Ceremony.

The Vice-Chancellor and President of MUST, Chair Professor Joseph Hun-wei LEE, remarked that over the past year, MUST has taken firm strides in its pursuit of excellence, achieving remarkable milestones in the global academic landscape. With resolute steps in exploring the frontiers of scientific research, the University has vigorously promoted interdisciplinary studies and dedicated itself to cultivating high-quality talents for society, consistently elevating academic development to new heights and achieving outstanding accomplishments. On the international stage, MUST has deepened collaborations, striving to build academic bridges across continents. On behalf of the University, President Lee extended warm congratulations to the awarded students and encouraged them to integrate their knowledge into practice, drive change through innovation, and contribute the exceptional wisdom and formidable strength of MUST students to the grand vision of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. President Lee also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the institutions and individuals who have steadfastly supported MUST.

Ho, Kuai Ian, delivered a speech on behalf of the scholarship recipients, expressing profound gratitude towards the institutional leaders and individuals who made this honor possible, as well as the supportive teachers and family members. The scholarship, serves as a significant milestone in their academic journey—not a destination, but a recognition of past efforts and an earnest expectation for future growth. Those who have received this honor will transform it into a driving force for progress, continuing to dedicate themselves to learning and the pursuit of excellence. They will also carry forward the knowledge and spirit instilled by the University, and no matter which field they enter or role they assume, they will remain committed to the original aspiration of “serving society and giving back to the community.” They will pay forward the goodwill and support they have received today, through concrete actions, contributing to the University and society at large.

The Scholarship and Grant Awards Presentation Ceremony for Institutional Scholarships is established to honor students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance. Representatives from the institutions that provide scholarships present awards to the recipients as a gesture of recognition and validation, thereby encouraging students to pursue ongoing academic excellence while simultaneously inspiring their peers to strive for improved achievements. Additionally, various awards from the University were presented during the Ceremony, including the Outstanding Cultural and Academic Award, Outstanding Community Service Award, Outstanding Sports Award, and the Student Handbook Cover Design Competition Award. These accolades aim to motivate students to achieve holistic development in conjunction with the acquisition of professional knowledge.

This year, Art Troupe of MUST performed orchestral music, culminating the Ceremony with enchanting melodies. The President of MUST, Chair Professor Joseph Hun-Wei LEE conferred certificates of appreciation to the representatives of the organizations that awarded scholarships for the first time. The Ceremony was successfully held.
