To welcome new students, the Student Affairs Office launched a recruitment drive for the orientation volunteer team during the summer vacation. A total of over 140 orientation volunteers from various schools and faculties were recruited to assist with various orientation activities during the new student orientation. From August 20 to 26, the orientation volunteer team worked alongside university faculty and staff to welcome over 7,000 new students. They helped the new students complete their registration procedures efficiently and embark on their campus life. Prior to the orientation, the Student Affairs Office successfully conducted training sessions for the volunteers. This training effectively enhanced the volunteers' familiarity with the operational procedures and strengthened the mutual understanding among team members.
Upon stepping into the MUST campus, new students were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic volunteers at the dormitories and various registration points. These volunteers assisted them with check-in procedures and guided them through the registration process. Additionally, campus ambassadors, along with teachers and volunteers at the student inquiry service counters, actively provided information, helping newcomers quickly familiarize themselves with the procedures and campus life.
Furthermore, the university specifically invited representatives from the Macau Judicial Police to set up a "Scam Prevention Promotion Booth." This initiative aimed to heighten awareness and preventive measures against scams among both new students and their parents.
To welcome the new students, the Student Affairs Office has arranged a series of exciting orientation activities to help them embark on their new university journey. From August 27 to 28, three welcome sessions were held to provide students with essential information about campus life. The Student Activities and Development Team, in collaboration with student associations, will organize a " Campus Tour" on August 29, followed by an "Association Activities Experience Week" and " Student Association Fair" from September 1 to 14. Other scheduled events include a "Learning Methods of University Life" on September 14, a " Welcome Party" on September 20, and the "11th MUST Games" from September 24 to 28.
Meanwhile, the Counseling Services Team of the Student Affairs Office, along with the "Comfort Heart Fellowship - The Psychological Wellbeing Ambassadors Training Program," is promoting mental wellness resources to all new students. They are inviting new students to participate in activities such as the " Cantonese Class" and the "New Student Adaptation Seminar." Additionally, the student team "Social Service Team" has set up an information booth to warmly introduce their services and offer consultations.
All these initiatives are designed to work together to assist new students in quickly adapting to campus life, making new friends, gaining diverse learning experiences, and achieving well-rounded development.

Throughout the entire orientation, the volunteers demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude, embedding care into every detail and conveying warmth to each new student. Their dedication not only ensured a smooth and efficient registration process but also sowed seeds of belonging and trust in the hearts of the new stduents. May this warmth experienced at the beginning of their campus life accompany them as they confidently take their first steps and embark on a fulfilling and remarkable university journey.
