The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Group of the Student Affairs Office of Macau University of Science and Technology successfully held the "Happy Garden" workshop as part of the campus promotion of mental health activities series in Room R405 on March 7, 2025 (Sunday). The activity was led by the school's psychological counselor, who explained the relationship between stress and emotions, and used dried flowers, photos, etc. as materials and media to let participants experience how to relieve emotions through the five senses. In the workshop, participants learned how to explore and use the five senses to help themselves release and relieve emotional stress by experiencing relaxation breathing, making insect repellent sachets, and creating dried flower photo frames. The workshop first briefly explained the relationship between stress and emotions, invited participants to imagine ways to relieve emotions based on the five senses, and focused on experiencing manual activities based on smell and vision. Participants are required to prepare a photo that makes them feel happy or at ease, and decorate the product with dried flowers. In addition to being able to feel good in the workshop, the finished product can also be used as a vehicle to soothe emotions in daily life, helping participants heal their bodies and minds.
The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Group will have more workshops and activities on different themes in the future. Students who are interested are welcome to pay attention and participate!
