‘Colorful Youth and Praise of Hao Jiang’ Double Celebration Opening Ceremony was successfully held by The Students’ Union of MUST

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region (Macau SAR), the Students' Union successfully organized the Opening Ceremony of the "Colorful Youth and Praise of Hao Jiang" Double Celebration on December 2nd. This event was made possible with the support of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, as well as the Student Affairs Office of the University.

During the opening ceremony, distinguished guests participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially unveil the Students’ Union's ‘Colorful Youth’ Double Celebration.

Mr. Yan Zhan, the Director General of the Students’ Union, presented a speech introducing the development of the Students’ Union of MUST, emphasizing its commitment to innovation and practicality. He expressed his anticipation that the upcoming Double Celebration will promote the spirit of patriotism and affection for Macau, while also commemorating the struggles and achievements of the new China over the past 75 years, as well as the progress of Macau in the past 25 years.

The celebration ceremony concluded with a folk dance performance, lyrical dancing, and the creation of a 25-metre calligraphy scroll writing. Attendees thoroughly appreciated the students’ calligraphy creations and the elegant dancing. They expressed their affection for the homeland and extended their best wishes for Macau.

At the conclusion of the event, a total of 75 students performed the ‘Song of Macau’, which brought the atmosphere to a peak of excitement. Guests and students then proceeded to the front area of Block N, where they waved the national and regional flags in unison, culminating the Opening Ceremony with their singing.
