With the endorsement of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, as well as the Student Affairs Office of the University, the Students’ Union of MUST successfully organized the ‘Colorful Youth and Praise for Hao Jiang’ Double Celebration Series of Activities. This sports event took place on December 7, 2024, at the Athletic Field, Block I.
The event was primarily coordinated by the Students’ Union, with support from the Football Club, Basketball Club, Volleyball Club, Table Tennis Club, Badminton Club, Outdoor Sports Association, and Running Association. This sporting event garnered the participation of over 300 students and faculty members.
On that day, a variety of engaging sports competitions took place, including events such as the two-person three-legged race, badminton shuttle bounce challenge, fun table tennis, volleyball, a basketball passing challenge, and a football shooting match, among others. The Vice President of MUST, Mr. Kwong, along with faculty members from the Student Affairs Office, actively participated in these competitions alongside the students. Their involvement was marked by enthusiasm and a shared sense of achievement. The atmosphere was vibrant and infused with positive energy.
To express gratitude to the students for their active participation, a lucky draw was conducted at the end of the event, culminating in a heightened atmosphere of excitement. The Double Celebration Sports Day provided an opportunity for students to enjoy the charm of sports, relax and enhance team cohesion, and invigorate their energy and creativity.
As stated by the Students’ Union, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macau's reunification with the motherland, the initiative titled ‘Colorful Youth and the Praise of Hao Jiang’ seeks to instill a sense of love for Macau among youth, characterized by determination and enthusiasm. It is anticipated that through the a variety of activities, we will continue to educate the students of MUST about the development of Macau, while also fostering the prosperity and development of campus culture.
