The MUST Social Service Team collaborates with the MUST Chapter of Best Buddies to Support the "2024 Friendship Celebration Ceremony and Inclusion Market"
The "2024 Friendship Celebration Ceremony and Inclusion Market," organized by the Best Buddies Macao Association, was successfully held on September 15, 2024. On the day of the event, the MUST Social Service Team and the MUST Chapter of Best Buddies set up promotional booths featuring interactive games focused on sustainable development themes, alongside the sale of gifts and various other activities.
During the event, members of the MUST social service team actively engaged in promoting the activities, successfully attracting numerous citizens and children to participate in the sustainable development themes games. The objective was to educate the public on the principles of waste sorting and recycling, thereby fostering a spirit of environmental stewardship. Many parents seized this opportunity to blend education with entertainment, contributing to a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere.
Following the event, members of the MUST social service team remarked, "This event was highly rewarding. We consistently look forward to collaborating with the broader community to support individuals with physical and mental disabilities." Concurrently, members of MUST Chapter of Best Buddies expressed, "Through this event, we genuinely felt the collective efforts of everyone to assist individuals with disabilities in their integration into society. We also recognized that public welfare transcends mere advocacy; it embodies a profound sense of social responsibility. We aspire for the concept of inclusion to reach a wider audience."
The MUST Social Service Team was established in March 2014 as a social service organization under the Student Affairs Office of the Macau University of Science and Technology. The SSTeam upholds the public welfare philosophy of "serving the community" and is guided by the spirit of "willingness to help others," having dedicated ten years of heartfelt service to both the university and the Macau community.
The Best Buddies Association in Macau is a non-profit organization whose mission is to establish a global volunteer movement that creates one-on-one friendships for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), as well as opportunities for employment and leadership development.
