In addition, they also organized a question-and-answer game about environmental protection knowledge. During the game, the students listened carefully to the members of SST to introduce the purpose, history, and practice in different countries and regions of Earth Day. In the game, the students were divided into different groups, and answered the names according to the pictures, audio recording and text related to animals displayed by the members of SST. After the activity, the students said that the activity was very meaningful. It was a novel and interesting experience to carry out the activity in the dark. A member of the team said to the small candle shaped lamp on the table during the activity: "I hope I am able to do something to the environmental protection just like this candle shining in the dark like a star." Some students also said: "During the activity, we learned a lot about energy conservation, environmental protection and natural creature, gained a lot of knowledge." In addition, during the activity, students found that the gaming enterprise and resorts around the campus also turned off their non-essential lights in support of Earth Hour.
Earth Hour is a world-wide energy-saving movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to deal with global climate change. The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights and other appliances for one hour, from 20:30 p.m. on a specific day towards the end of March every year (Earth Hour in 2021 starts at 20:30 p.m. on March 27th), as a symbol of commitment to the planet.
