Student Affairs Office Hosts Crime and Fraud Prevention Interview

To enhance the fraud prevention awareness and self-protection capabilities of dormitory residents, the Dormitory and Life Experience Team of the Student Affairs Office held Crime and Fraud Prevention Interview at the Dormitory Activity Center and the On-Campus Dormitories on 27th March, 2025 and 28th March, 2025. This event invited representatives from the Judicial Police to explain the latest telephone and online fraud tactics, as well as effective fraud prevention strategies. The purpose was to help residents to understand the latest fraud techniques, strengthen their prevention awareness, and avoid being deceived.

During the interview activities, the representatives from the Judicial Police used real-life cases to provide detailed introductions to the latest fraud techniques, such as “public security, procuratorial, and judicial” scams, “online romance” scams, and “order-padding” scams. The representatives from the Judicial Police reminded the residents that if they receive calls or messages from unknown sources claiming to be government departments or police officers, asking them to download software to assist with investigations and requesting personal identification information or bank account passwords, they should immediately hang up the phone and avoid being deceived.

The representatives from the Judicial Police collaborated with the members of the “Dormitory Vanguard to promote anti-fraud information among students in the university campus. During the process, the team members actively promoted fraud prevention strategies to the students. The students listened attentively, achieving the expected results.
