MUST Dormitory residents gathered together to enjoy the full moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival
The fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month is the traditional Chinese festival known as the Mid-Autumn Festival. To celebrate this important festival, The Dormitory and Life Experience team of Student Affair Office organized a series of festive activities called "Towards a Joyful Mid-Autumn Night" on Mid-Autumn Festival Day, September 17th, in the on-campus dormitory, Taipa off-campus dormitory and Macao off-campus dormitory. Activities included mooncake making workshops, paper lantern workshops, lantern riddle guessing. These activities were deeply loved by dormitory residents, and the dormitories were filled with a lively and joyful atmosphere.

Dormitory residents gathered to decorate the dormitory lobby together before the festival, creating a festive atmosphere. Student Affairs Office also prepared mooncakes, fruits, lanterns, riddles and festival workshops which allowed residential students to experience traditional Chinese culture together.

The Dormitory and Life Experience team of Student Affair Office held the "Mooncake Making Workshop" for the first time this year, invited activity instructors of YMCA to guide dormitory residents to making their own ice-skinned mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The “Paper Lantern Workshop” which is popular around the residents last year has also continued to be hold this year. Both activities attracted enthusiastic registration from the residents. The atmosphere of the events was lively, filled with laughter, adding a strong festive atmosphere to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In order to allow dormitory residents to experience traditional festival culture in the dormitory and to promote communication and interaction among roommates, The Dormitory and Life Experience team of Student Affair Office held traditional cultural festival activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival every year. The aim is to let residences to feel the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival through the activities and learn to share and communicate with others. The participated residents expressed that the activities filled the entire dormitory with a strong festive atmosphere, allowed students studying abroad to feel the festival atmosphere and the warmth of the dormitory. They expressed their hope that the Student Affairs Office will continue to organize similar traditional festival activities, allowing more residents to join.
