Organized by the Student Activity and Development Section of the Student Affairs Office and co-organized by the Students' Union of MUST, the "2026 Orientation Gala — Campus Life Journey" was successfully held at Block D Conference Hall at 7:00 PM on September 19. The gala featured a rich variety of cultural performances, including songs, dances, dubbing, Hanfu fashion shows, and comedy sketches, fully displaying students' exceptional talents and boundless creativity while highlighting the youthful vitality and artistic style of MUST students.
This gala was specially themed "Campus Life Journey" to convey the diversity and infinite possibilities of university life to all freshmen. University life is not only about classes and academics; it also offers a wealth of student clubs where students can explore personal interests, showcase themselves, and meet like-minded friends. From packing their bags for the first time and embarking on a journey of study in a new place, to making new friends, stepping onto the university stage, and bravely pursuing their passions, these unique and precious "firsts" together compose the most brilliant chapter of university life. The gala aimed to encourage every freshman to try boldly, embrace the unknown, and grow through every breakthrough in their future campus journey.

The gala kicked off with the Music Society's warm and lighthearted Cantonese song "Need You Every Minute," which quickly ignited the enthusiastic atmosphere. Next, the Chance Club brought the dynamic dance "Wing Chun," seamlessly blending traditional martial arts with modern dance to deliver a visually striking performance. The Music Society also presented a song medley "Medley: Chau Suen & Butterfly," captivating the audience with fluent and melodious tunes. As major student clubs took the stage one after another to showcase the rich colorfulness of campus cultural life, the Character Voice Club brought the humorous dubbing "Freshmen, School Starts!," vividly reproducing the genuine and hilarious feelings of new students upon entering campus and sparking strong resonance. The Chinese Culture Society presented the Hanfu fashion show "National Grace and Rhyme: Seeking Lights," showing the deep cultural heritage and Oriental aesthetics of traditional Chinese culture. The Dance Association delivered the atmospheric dance "Listening to Night Rain" and the energetic modern dance "WDA," demonstrating powerful and expressive choreography. The Drama Club performed the original comedy sketch "Club Recruitment," depicting the lively scene of campus club recruitment with humorous and vivid plots. Additionally, the Music Society rendered "Flowers" and "Colorblind," conveying the power of growth and confidence through touching vocals. The stage was full of excitement, and the audience below was fully engaged, cheering at the comedy's punchlines and swaying to the rhythm of the songs. Deep empathy connected the entire venue, and everyone enjoyed the beauty of youth to the fullest!

In addition to the dazzling performances, the interactive segments at the event were equally enthusiastic and filled with laughter. In the "Guess the Song" game, 15 lucky students were divided into three groups to hit the stage and compete for the microphone, requiring them not only to name the song immediately but also to hum a few lines on the spot, creating a fun-filled atmosphere. Following that, the online "MUST Knowledge Quiz" engaged the entire audience; students scanned the QR code on the screen with their phones to participate in the campus culture quiz, displaying their deep understanding of and enthusiasm for MUST. The subsequent "Grand Lucky Draw" segment pushed the excitement to peak after peak as the Second Prizes, First Prizes, and the much-anticipated "Grand Finale Prize" were revealed one by one, with winners taking group photos on stage amidst enthusiastic applause and cheers.

As the gala drew to a close, the Music Society performed the finale song "There Are So Many People in This World." The audience lit up their phone lights and gently waved along with the melodious tune, creating a warm and touching scene. This song not only expressed the special destiny of the Class of 2026 students who gathered at MUST from across the mountains and seas, but also conveyed the wish for everyone to bravely pursue their passions and write a beautiful chapter of their four-year university life, bringing the entire gala to a warm and perfect conclusion.
