Organized by the Chinese Educators’ Association of Macau, the 2026 “Oasis Action” Ecological Programme was successfully held in Kunming, Yunnan Province from July 27 to 31, 2026. Professor Zhang Jinghua, Assistant Dean of MSB, and Xu Minglu, Deputy Captain of MUST's Social Service Team, along with representatives from middle schools and colleges in Macao, conducted an ecological and humanistic investigation. With the arrangement and assistance of the “Oasis Action” Organizing Committee, the Foreign Affairs Office of Kunming and other departments, participants visited the Haigeng Dam, the Kunming Stone Forest Scenic Area, the Ancient Town of Guandu, and other representative sites.

At the Haigeng Dam, participants gained firsthand insights into the water environment treatment and wetland restoration of the plateau lake, deeply appreciating the challenges involved in restoring this “Pearl of the Plateau.” At the Stone Forest, they experienced the magnificence of the karst landscape and its ecological wisdom, marveling at the power of nature and the value of biodiversity.
The “Oasis Action” Ecological Programme is an annual signature public-welfare education initiative. It organizes teachers and students from Macao to visit ecological reserves in the Mainland, where they witness the green miracle through historical and cultural investigations and patriotic education. The programme serves as a vivid model for putting the country’s green development philosophy into practice and fostering deeper patriotic sentiments. As a member of the Social Service Team, Xu Minglu said that she hoped to actively promote environmental and ecological protection as well as humanistic education and science popularization, and jointly contribute to the development of a sustainable campus and the environment.
