The "2025 International Volunteer Day and Outstanding Volunteer Award Ceremony," organized by the Association of Volunteers Social Service Macao, was held on December 7 at the Multi-functional Hall of the Taipa Bodhi Social Service Building. Dr. Wong Ka Weng, Head of the Student Affairs Office of Macau University of Science and Technology, was invited to attend the event. Ma Lening, Vice President of the Social Service Team under the Student Affairs Office of MUST, was awarded the "Top Ten Outstanding Volunteers in Macau" award, while team member Liu Meitong received the "Outstanding Star Volunteer" award under the Macau Volunteer Incentive Program.

The recipient of the “Top Ten Outstanding Volunteers in Macau” award, student Ma Lening, shared her acceptance speech on stage: “I am deeply grateful for everyone's recognition and appreciation for me. Thank you to the university and the MUST Social Service Team for providing us with this platform. This trophy does not belong to me alone; it belongs to every one of you here, as well as to every friend who has dedicated themselves to volunteer work. In the future, I will remain true to my original intentions and carry this honor forward as I continue on my journey!”

The team member who received the "Outstanding Star Volunteer" award, Liu Meitong, expressed her great honor in receiving this accolade! She extended her gratitude to the Macau Volunteer Association for their recognition and to her companions for walking alongside her. Through participating in the university's volunteer services, she has gained warmth and personal growth, and has come to better understand responsibility and commitment. In the future, she will continue to pursue her original aspirations with enthusiasm, contributing to the betterment of Macau and the community.
