The 56th Caritas Charity Bazaar was successfully held at the Nam Van Lake Water Activities Center from November 1 to 2, 2025. The Social Service Team under the Student Affairs Office has long been actively supporting charitable initiatives, and this year, the team collaborated with the Volunteer Association of Students’ Union to support fundraising booths, mobilizing over 66 students for participation. Additionally, the Dormitory Pioneer Team under the Student Affairs Office and the Volunteer Association of Students’ Union dispatched over 30 students to assist with on-site safety and order maintenance at the bazaar. In total, more than a hundred students joined citizens from across Macau in this meaningful charitable event.

This year’s bazaar, themed "Companionship Through Bond, Hearts Connected Everywhere," reflects Macau Caritas’ annual commitment to utilizing the funds raised to pioneer innovative social services and enhance the quality of existing unfunded projects. In response to this significant charitable event, faculty and students across the university enthusiastically participated and actively supported the cause, collectively spreading warmth and goodwill, filling hearts with joy. Prior to the bazaar, the Social Service Team set up charity lottery ticket sales booths in the lobbies of Blocks N and B on campus from October 27 to 28 and on October 30. Through three days of dedicated efforts, a total of 537 charity lottery tickets were sold, successfully raising MOP 5,370, infusing the bazaar in advance with love and care from the university’s students and staff. During the Charity Bazaar, the Social Service Team and the Volunteer Association of Students’ Union collaborated efficiently, setting up interactive zones and charity sales areas. Students showcased their creativity and passion by designing engaging interactive games, such as "Toss the Plush Toy into the Tube," and offered a variety of charity sale items, including exquisite bracelets, stress-relief squeezable toys, bread-shaped accessories, and walk-along balloons. The lively atmosphere attracted numerous citizens and children, whose enthusiastic participation added boundless energy and support to the event.

The MUST Social Service Team has now participated in and supported the Caritas Charity Bazaar for nine consecutive years. This event once again allowed students from the Social Service Team and the Volunteer Association of Students’ Union to showcase the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of MUST students to the Macau community, spreading love and joy to more people.

Members of the Volunteer Association who participated in the event shared: "These two short days of activity have brought us abundant rewards. Whether it was seeing the smiling faces of children holding cute balloons, watching students choose MUST merchandise, or witnessing the joy on participants' faces when they successfully tossed plush toys into the tube, I truly grasped the real meaning of the event! When we contribute to society, through individual and team efforts, and offer our kindness and compassion, the power of an individual is no longer trivial. By participating in the event through charity sales, we not only gave love but also felt the warm feedback from society. We saw the vibrant energy, mutual support, and selfless goodwill of the people of Macau!"
