The Successful Outcome of the “2023 Macau University of Science and Technology Model United Nations Conference”

With the support of the Student Affairs Office, the Model United Nations Club of Students’ Union of M.U.S.T. successfully held the “2023 Macau University of Science and Technology Model United Nations Conference” from March 18 to 19,2023. The conference was attended by 9 members of the dais member, 50 delegates and 4 volunteers, a total of 63 people. In addition to the members of M.U.S.T., delegates from the City University of Macau, Pui Ching Middle School, Kao Yip Middle School, Keang Peng School also participated in this event.

This conference has set up three committees: Chinese Committee , Chinese History Committee, and Main Press Center. Among the members of Chinese Committee, delegates had a heated discussion on the governance of transnational crime and juvenile delinquency. In the Chinese History Committee, representatives returned to Hong Kong in 1974 to discuss the issue of anti-corruption in Hong Kong. At the same time, journalist delegates from the Main Press Center actively wrote news reports and assisted in the progress of the meeting. The meeting proceeded smoothly under the auspices of the dais member. At the end of the meeting, dais member made comments and summaries for the meeting, and sent sincere encouragement and blessings to the delegates.

In this meeting, the delegates showed a wealth of knowledge and good expression skills. Through this activity, members of the Model United Nations Club of Students’ Union of Macau University of Science and Technology can communicate with outstanding delegates of other school, and gain a further understanding of knowledge about international relations and history. In the future, the Model United Nations Club of Students’ Union of M.U.S.T. will continue to hold related activities, and at the same time, strengthen the communication with other schools, and strive to bring a better participation experience for all delegates.
