MUST Student Affairs Office Holds "Macau Traffic Safety Seminar"
The Student Affairs Office of Macau University of Science and Technology has always focused on the publicity and education of student safety. As the new academic year begins, representatives from the Traffic Bureau of the Macau Public Security Police Force were invited to the campus on 9th September, 2023 afternoon to hold a "Understanding of Macau Traffic Safety Regulations" seminar for resident students, with the expectation of enhancing their knowledge and understanding of traffic safety in Macau.

The seminar covered topics such as the functions of the Traffic Bureau, methods of handling traffic accidents, traffic safety awareness, and Macau's traffic laws. Additionally, the representatives introduced information on mutual recognition procedures and categories for driving licenses between the Macau and Mainland China, helping resident students to stay informed about the latest updates from the Traffic Bureau.

During the event, resident students actively asked questions and engaged in interactive discussions. Traffic Bureau representative Officer also invited resident students to experience an on-site alcohol test known as the "breathalyser."

The engaging explanations by Traffic Bureau representative Officer, along with the informative and practical seminar content, enabled resident students to gain comprehensive understanding of Macau's traffic safety knowledge and cross-regional driving policies. The Student Affairs Office hopes to hold such events in the future, which will not only help to strengthen resident students' awareness of local road safety and traffic rules in Macau but also reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents.
