同学们，与大家的相遇像是冥冥之中的注定，见证你们的成长让我也感慨良多，二十岁的年纪，有人继续求学，有人考公考编，你的身边会充斥着各种声音，不用慌乱害怕，这是任何人都会面临的选择，没有标准答案，任何一种解法都可以得到最优解，如果确定好目标，就不要畏惧的往前，你可以不断试错，直到找到自己的山峰，无论怎样，“你不一定非得长成玫瑰，你乐意的话，做茉莉，做蔷薇，做溪流，做千千万万的小草......”，而我永远是你们的树洞，共勉！

Dear Students,
First, I want to express my thanks to all of you. Since I am a new teacher who just joined in September and have been your mentor for only one semester, your sincere acceptance has helped me to settle down which also contributed to the smooth teaching and learning process. This year is a crucial step in your academic journey—a time to deepen your knowledge and push the boundaries of what you thought was possible. I am sure that each lecture you attend, every assignment you complete, and even the setbacks you face will contribute to building the foundation of your future study. Remember, it’s your hard work and dedication that have brought you this far.
Moreover, like many of you, I once aspired to study abroad, and it has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. After spending over 10 years of studying and working overseas, I would like to say that staying curious is always the priority. You will be exposed to diverse perspectives, innovative ideas, and global networks that will shape your future in ways you cannot yet imagine. Ask questions, seek answers, and explore your interests with passion. Meanwhile, keeping your goals in sight and celebrate each small step (like we learned about the process of organizational change) you take toward achieving them. The road ahead will be challenging, but each step is a step toward fulfilling your dreams.
Finally, as someone who has walked this path, I will always be here to guide you whenever you need advice. I would like to employ a famous quote from my lifelong mentor Arsène Wenger, the former manager of Arsenal, as the concluding statement:
Don’t be scared to be ambitious. It’s not a humiliation to have a high target and to fail. For me, the real humiliation is to have a target and not to give everything to reach it.
